Where to get Go software

If you are looking for free software then look no further than the British Go Association Library. This site contains all the main freeware and shareware programs. I should tell you that IMHO even the best shareware programs are at least four grades weaker than the top commercial programs. However some leading commercial programs have released freeware versions that play at full strength, but on 9x9 only.

If you are willing to pay, then try the following companies.

If you are interested in seeing the source code of a reasonable go program then take a look at GNUGO, it is amongst the best of the free programs.
