The Company was found in 1997 by Professor Chen Zhixing, the many-time world champion of computer goe and the 1994 champion of the National Professor Goe Tournament of China. Our ain is to promote popularization and progression of goe by means of computer.
The Company includes two departments:
(a) Computer goe research. The goe-game software Handtalk, written by Prof. Chen, has won the world champion 7 times since 1993. Another program Wulu, written by the Wulu Team of our company under the instruction of Prof. Chen, finished the 2nd place in the 1998 Ing Cup International Computer Goe Congress. We will continue to improve the strength of the goe-game software to strive retaining the lead in the world.
(b) Development and sale of goe software. Handtalk is now widely sold in the world, and Wulu is sold well in Korea. We will strive to promote the sale of the available goe-game software to increase their social effect. We will develop more goe softwares, especially those of intellectual type, and put them into market, so as to let computer become a better tool for the populization of goe.
This Tea Bar serves as a refined club for playing goe, chess, etc. We accept goe tournament to take place here. We have organized the 1998 National Computer Goe Tournament in the Tea Bar, and will furter organize Computer Goe Tournaments. Good players often play goe in the Tea Bar, and some top level amateur goe players or professional goe players are often invited to play with the public player or to teach for elevation of the level of goe.
The Tea Bar prevides foods and drinks for the guests, especially, it serves to taste famous kinds of tea.
The Tea Bar provides service of computer. Customers can use a computer to play goe on the internet or with some software, or do other things with the computer.
